Knicks Game Night: Knicks vs Pelicans

This should be a pretty painless L.

One thing I want to say about the Thunder game:

Why in the world would Fiz have Tim Jr guard Paul George?  There’s no way that makes sense……..if you’re actually trying to win game…hmmmmm.  Is Fiz being a good tank driver by making bad coaching decisions or is he just being a bad coach?

On another note, I need answers:

Knicks Beat Dallas 118-106

Highlights:

We really need to talk about this Dallas squad.  On paper, Dallas should have won that game.  Luca Doncic and Dennis Smith Jr should have been enough combined with Barnes, Matthews. and Jordan.

THIS IS THE PROBLEM WITH WANTING MORE FROM THIS SQUAD!!  Think on how Mitchell Robinson is progressing.  Think on how Dotson and Trier are playing.  If these guys get better through the year, and Knox comes back and progresses at the same pace as these guys, we will win games we need to lose.  I know it seems far fetched but these kids are young and soaking up everything.  I don’t want a team that just misses the lottery.  That’s not a successful year to me.

Still……I did enjoy the game.  *shrugs*

Knicks Game Night: Knicks vs Warriors at MSG

Quick Reminder:

  1. We will get destroyed tonight.
  2. We WANT to get destroyed.
  3. We are OK with the young guys trying hard the entire game to show KD they have fight but that’s it.

Things To Look Forward To:

  1. Improved pick and roll defense.  Tim Jr and Kanter jawing at each other should be a sign to Fizz that they need more work there.
  2. Watching Frank guard KD.  This should be more funny than anything.  My guess is he’ll have 2 quick fouls in the first and sit most of the game.  Kid is too aggressive sometimes.
  3. We finally get to see Mudiay this season.  I read somewhere he practiced this week.
  4. What will Fizz do with the rotation now that Mudiay is available?
  5. Since GS will force the Knicks to run, will Robinson get more playing time.

It should be a terrible game but we need to wrack up these Ls.  Don’t stress too much.

Week 5 New York Football

Giants:

  1. Eli had a really up and down game. Those 2 picks hurt but he did something that we’ve been wanting him to do…take some shots down field.
  2. The defense played a good game but you can’t beat the Panthers and the refs. That UR call lead to a touchdown.
  3. That special teams touchdown we gave up was really the difference.
  4. Would have been nice if Odell brought down that touchdown pass. Great play by the defender ripping it away.
  5. Offensive line probably had their best day pass blocking. Run blocking….not so much.
  6. We need OV back ASAP! He’s been on vacation long enough.  We need a pass rush badly.
  7. At the end of it the Giants were still in the game. Defense did enough to make the FG attempt long as hell but…they still converted a 63 yarder.  These are the breaks.  Break it up, break it up break it up.

Jets:

  1. Darnold was placing the ball well all game, only mistake was an int that came off a tipped pass.
    CMP %: 45.5 – YARDS :198 – TD: 3 – INT: 1 – RATING: 98.1
  2. Focal point of our offense was the run game, which helped take pressure off our rookie qb.
  3. Jets dominated the line of scrimmage on both ends.
  4. Terrelle Pryor caught an awkward td pass, guy wants to get more targets so we’ll see.
  5. CroPo ran for over 300 yards & nearly set a franchise record but Powell was 1 yard short of 💯…
  6. The defense still looks strong even though Bowles was the one calling plays today
  7. Marcus Maye is STILL tryna catch his breath after that final play of the game, he dropped an easy pick too that could of been returned ALOT easier

Week 4 New York Football

Giants:

  1. Eli did not have a good game.  It looked like the Saints were trying to take the deep stuff away but that’s no excuse.  He has to find a way to make completions longer than 5 yards down field.  Those 2 overthrown balls to Odell hurt.
  2. Odell needs to be involved EARLY.  I don’t know what the coaching staff needs to do to make this happen but it has to happen quick.  The last thing the Giants need right now is Odell frustrated.
  3. The defense…….They let Kamara do whatever he wanted.  Possibly because they have to respect Brees upfront but still…they have to do a better job stopping the run.
  4. Whoever the guy is that they put back there to return kick offs needs to be unemployed ASAP.
  5. I hope Eli Apple and OV are comfortable.  Someone check to see if they need extra pillows.

Jets:

  1. Growing pains.  Ya’ll have a rookie  QB trying to figure it out.  He’ll get better every week.
  2. I’m guessing play calling is an issue.
  3.  Flags are a problem AGAIN this year.
  4. That’s all i got.  Get me the info on the Jets game and I’ll fill this part in.

Week 3 New York Football

Giants:

  1. The offensive line as a unit played MUCH MUCH MUCH BETTER.
  2. Wheeler had a decent first half then J.J. Watt big banked him in the second half.
  3. The blocking by the O Line helped with making the run game look legit.
  4. Eli didn’t have to run for his life the entire game like he did week 1 and 2.
  5. We got the win but the defense could of been better.  They gave up 444 yards of offense.  The Saints will kill them if they play like that next week.
  6. Kudos to the coaching staff figuring things out.

Jets:

  1. Darnold had a rough one.
  2. They did a good job running the ball.
  3. Rough loss giving the Browns their first win in 100 years.
  4. Robby Anderson needs to put some weight on and hit the gym.  He’s an easy strip fumble.
  5. I dont know what the issue is.  Coaching?  Ya’ll tell me.
