How do they look so far?
THE GIANTS WIN!!! I heard somewhere that this was only the second time the Giants won game 1 in 12 years. Not a bad way to start the season. few thoughts:
- Kenny Golladay is stealing money. They’re paying him way too much just to have a guy named Richie James outplay him.
- Pass rush was non existent. Hopefully that gets better when Kayvon and Azeez get back.
- The O lines pass blocking was very very bad.
“Jets defense had a couple bad plays, especially the penalty on Joyner leading to a TD was a neck breaker. Other than that, they played a really nice game. They stopped the run, rushed the passer and DJ Reed and Sauce Gardner will be one of the better CB tandems in the near future.
Offense was a no-show. Especially the offensive line, there is no chemistry and no continuity in this unit due to injuries. The only positive was Max Mitchell – he held up, not bad for a raw fourth round rookie.
Breece Hall and Ace Carter are ballers, Garrett Wilson got moves and needs the ball more. Same with Elijah Moore. Not everything on this team is bad, OL and QB play are tho“

With Randle shelved, Obi shined. We get to see the young guys play for the rest of the season.
Good to see Thibs play with some energy out there. Hopefully we get to see more of Reddish.
Its that time of the year again. Our football teams shit the bed all season and now its time to obsess over mock drafts until draft day. The Jets have the 4th and 10th picks and the Giants have the 5th and 7th picks. Here’s what some mocks look like so far:
Pro Football Focus:
Why the Giants would take a Safety or a QB with one of those picks is a mystery to me but….that’s their mock. Let’s all hope for the best. Happy obsessing!
Before I start, I’d like to point out that in the beginning of the season no one in the starting lineup was playing well…offensively or defensively.
Time to ramble:
I thought signing Kemba was a great idea. I think we all knew he wasn’t a strong defender, but we assumed his offense would make up for whatever he was giving up on defense. For whatever reason Kemba started off passive. He wasn’t attacking the way we thought he would, and he was as bad on defense as we thought he’d be. That lead to his benching which was foul because he wasn’t the only one playing like shit.
Its clear God didn’t like the benching, so he threw a little Omarion on the NBA to open that starting PG position again. Since getting the starting spot back Kemba’s been great. Lets hope he can keep it up.
